When I press the "Line bellow is playing now" instead of recording the new time, the counter returns to zero and the movie starts again and the counter keeps in zero. I don´t know when this started to happen, but before that I did lots of syncs with no problem. Can somebody give me a clue if it´s some codec or whatever? Thank you

Almost for sure it's problem of video driver. Does it happen also in other video formats?

Kind regards!
Irek

Mam ten sam problem co kolega. Klikam na "linia poniżej właśnie leci", po czym film wraca do początku. Czy muszę zainstalować jakieś nowsze drivery do karty? Używam firmowego laptopa i raczej nie chcę tego robić.

P.S.
Czemu wszyscy piszą po angielsku? W końcu to Polak napisał TA :)

Chodzi nie tyle o drivery co kodeki. Warto rozgladnac sie za w miare aktualnym pakiem.

It's recommended to update video codecs.
Cheers,
Irek

Hello, unfortunately I am seeing the same problem. This is frustrating, as I only discovered your useful program recently. It has been working once (!), but now clicking the big SYNC button doesn't transfer the timestamp to the main program anymore. Instead it just resets the player from the beginning of the file as described by other users. I've tried de-installing ffdshow (to use plain XVID instead, the latest), then upgrading to the latest ffdshown beta, nothing seems to help...

Pleas advise...

If you open this video file in any video player can you seek easily to any point of video?

Cheers!

There is no good answer. I recommend to try some of the popular codec packs and find out witch works best for you. I personaly use CCCP: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combined_C ... Codec_Pack

hello irek,

your great tool "time adjuster" has worked perfectly with 2 different movies I had to synchronize.
So firstly many thanks for your work!!

I joined your forum because I'm suddenly experiencing the exact
same thing here as described above by other users.
Whenever I click the button to synchronize the movie with the selected
subtitle line the dialog window resets itself and starts from the beginning.

I checked several other movies/subtitles encoded with various versions
of Xvid and DivX with "GSpot", but Gspot reported nothing out of the ordinary.
But with all all off them time adjuster now unexpextedly fails!

There's only one movie/subtitle which works correctly
and when I check this particular one in Gspot it says [believe it or not :) ]
"not available" in all the information fields!!
But this 'unrecognized' movie works fine with time adjuster, isn't that strange!!??

I can't really say what has been changed in my system's configuration
since the first 2 times that time adjuster had worked correctly.

It might be that way since installing "XP Codec Pack 2.0.7.1",
but I really can't believe this would knock time adjuster out of it's shoes...
And furthermore it had worked before with "XP Codec Pack 1.3.3"!

I don't know if any of this is helpful for you, but let us know if you find out, please.

Greets
Pichel

I had the same problem, counter returns to zero and movie starts again; I resolve the problem uninstalling the K-Lite codec pack and installing All-in-one codecs pack and FFDshow to improve Audio and Video, now TA is working fine.

I got the same problem as described in the first post when I upgraded to 3.1. After having downgraded to version 2.9 the problem disappeared, so that's the version I use from now.

Version 2.9 can be downloaded here:
http://www.ldmstudio.com/go/free.php?id=48

By the way: I use XP Codec Pack and didn't want to switch to another codec pack, so I figured that downgrading Time Adjuster was easier...
