I have been using TA 3.1 for quite sometime now and really like it.

All of a sudden for no apparent reason whenever I try to open an SRT file I receive a warning 'Temp file creation problem' followed by 'Quick scan detected UNIX style ...' this fails and the file does not open.

This has been asked before in
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=133&hilit=temp+file+problem with no answers.

I have tried uninstalling, CClean, re-installing, turning off Quick scan which then gives a file access problem. Nothing has helped.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was editing the troublesome file with Subtitle Workshop v4B4 and noticed that times were not strictly increasing throughout the file. One subtitle had an end time ealier that its start time, with that corrected TA now opens the file.

Perhaps the initial check should scan for all times monotonically increasing.
